Melissa is a registered psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia and Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). She is also a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS).
Melissa has worked with children, adolescents and adults with a range of issues, including depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, work-related problems as well as issues relating to emotional regulation. She has experience in psychological assessments (MIGDAS and ADOS certified), diagnosis and implementation of therapeutic interventions through using a range of therapeutic approaches including intensive short-term dynamic psychotherapy (ISTDP), cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), mindfulness and psychodynamic therapy. In practice, she selects from a range of techniques to ensure that treatment is tailored to the individual needs of each client. Melissa’s approach is collaborative and she actively engages with her clients in sessions to provide a high level of support in achieving their goals. She encourages clients to provide feedback during therapy and be empowered by the therapeutic process.
Melissa has a special interest in supporting clients with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
Melissa is fluent in English and Mandarin.
